Abstract
In a patient with severe skeletal discrepancy, maximal aesthetic and functional effects can be achieved through orthodontic treatment combined with orthognathic surgery. The position of the maxilla is an important part of treatment planning, and proper presurgical orthodontic treatment and surgical planning are needed to select the best position of maxilla. The purpose of this case report is to describe the considerations in orthodontic treatment and orthognathic surgery in a patient with hyperdivergent skeletal Class II malocclusion with asymmetry.
